Fat Cats
A gentle reminder that carrying a little extra weight isn't really a big deal
I’ve often wondered why Buddha was fat, and then read that the “fat Buddha” is actually Hotei, a monk known for his jolly nature and bag of gifts. A kind of Buddha Santa Claus.
Hotei is also depicted bald — reminding us that whatever our hairstyle might be, or whether we are carrying a few (or a lot) of extra pounds, we are all still human beings, whatever we may look like on a given day.
So… celebrate yourself. This day and every day!
